Unessa Added by Marimekko

Graphic designer Jenni Tuominen's Unessa fabric print won Marimekko's Design, Meet the User! competition.

Tuominen is inspired by nature, fine books, and flea-market treasures. She says that bears are particularly close to her heart. Drawing by hand and sketching are Tuominen's typical methods of working, which is also evident in the Unessa pattern. The artist has successfully transferred her personal style of drawing to printed fabrics.
