Tee se itse -kaupunki on sarja sateenvarjoja kaupunkisuunnittelun demokratisoinnin puolesta. Varjot jatkavat kuulo-, näkö- ja tuntoaisteja: rumpukalvosta rakennettu sateenvarjo korostaa sään ääniä (näyttelyvarjo reagoi ulkona vallitsevaan säätilaan; tuuleen ja sateeseen), peilillä vuorattu sateenvarjo avaa uusia näkymiä ja erinapaisilla magneeteilla varustetut varjot mahdollistavat yllättäviä kohtaamisia. Sateenvarjot kattavat yhteensä luonnon, rakennetun ympäristön ja ihmisten uudenlaisen havainnoinnin, ja luovat tuttuun kaupunkiin lisäulottuvuuksia.
