When planning product platforms, one must not overlook design related factors. A design platform enables companies to utilise and re-utilise distinctive functions, characters and elements. Assuring the transfer of meanings, value and relations between different products, product lines, new product generations and their users.
My research focuses on analysing the strategic and operative benefits of design, technology, and brand platforms. My goal was to look into interfaces and synergy benefits between design focused platforms and technology focused platforms compare them with internationally successful examples. My research subject was Apple Computer Inc. One of the main objectives was to also outline the definition for design platforms.

I am a graduate from the School of Industrial and Strategic Design at the University of Art and Design Helsinki. As my minor I studied in the International Design Business Management programme. My diploma work was part of a research project of TEKES, the National Technology Agency of Finland, entitled Integrating Design, Technology and Brand Platforms from a Strategic Management Perspective.
My studies and work experience in design cover a broad front from strategic design and research to product design. My introduction to the visual world was when I worked as an assistant to the sculptor Kari Cav?n.
