Construction on this building began in 1947 and was completed in 1953. It is located in New York City and is often indentified by its tall block of stories. The building is modern in design. An interesting note about this building is that it was designed by a committee. Many architects, including Le Corbusier, Sir Howard Robertson and Hamson and Abramovits, were part of the committee.
