Talented designers of various professions put their know-how together and thus gave birth to a totally unique design book. It is a display of the power of collaboration and fresh Finnish design.

We created a concept where each of the designers worked for a period of two weeks, coming up with new ideas based on the sketches of the previous designer. The novel approach and different starting points brought out fresh new expression from each member of the group. The book showcases the unlimited possibilities of the concept, paving the way for this kind of mode of operation in the design field of the future.

Members of the group:
Nina Merikallio, photographer
Timo Wright, photographer
Piia Keto, textile designer
Tuukka Rantala, graphic designer
Ville Isopahkala, graphic designer

Piia Keto is an urbanised country girl to whom the most important thing in design is change and making people think. Keto does not restrict herself to textile design, and has no qualms in crossing disciplinary boundaries in her search for the best format or idiom. Unorthodox serial thinking and interesting themes are what make her style unique. The past few years her studies have revolved around HundPark, a store run by young designers, and its development. Her own brand KETO came about and has developed along with the store. KETO and HundPark will continue to co-exist in the future, but after graduation Piia Keto hopes to widen her field of activities. Keeping still is simply an impossibility for her.
