Suomen teollisen muotoilun uranuurtaja, Paavo Tynell (1890 - 1973) was one of the pioneers of Finnish design. He is known by his desigs for Taito Oy.

Tynell's most famous products include table lamps as well as exquisitely decorative bronze chandeliers that he designed for public places between 1930s and 1940s.

One of Taito Oy's famous customers was Alvar Aalto, whose designs Taito Oy manufactured until 1950s.
