Mobile Wear for Everyday
The collection and the concept for it have been born in transit, in motion, when wandering around. From Helsinki through Stockholm to Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Rotterdam. From New York to Hong Kong. The collection has been inspired by everything metropolitan, modern architecture and mobile way of living. One wears these clothes to ride the bike to work, run to the coffee-shop, skateboard to a meeting and step into a hot subway car. Functional cuts allow great trajectory and the materials transfer humidity from the skin into the next layers of clothing or the air. Covering clothes keep you dry even in a surprising downpour.
Satu has worked subsequently for ten years in several product communication companies designing garments. In 2002 she began her MA studies at the University of Art and Design Helsinki in the programme for fashion and clothing design. She received a special mention in the European Sports Inspired Fashion Award competition in 2005. Satu is interested in combining functional clothing design and fashion, and in crossing boundaries!
