This stool was designed in 1966 as part of a larger collection. The collection centered around the use of steel wire rods which were welded onto a circular base. Platner wanted to create a collection that was sculputral, decorative, graceful, and gentle. Perhaps to offset the strong lines of the steel. The stool, and the entire collection, is still produced today by Knoll in Italy.

The dining table pictured here was designed in 1966 and is produced by Knoll in Italy. It is part of a larger collection, that centered on the used of steel rods and wire, that includes stools, tables, and chairs. The furniture in this collection is meant to evoke a sculptural quality. Despite the very modern materials Platner wanted to design furniture that was not only decorative, but also graceful and gentle. The table is very disntinctive, but was also designed with the idea of fitting different decors. The table tops can be choosen in different colors and materials, such as glass, wood, and marble.

THe Wire Cone Chair was one of the chairs that won Verner Panton international fame. The design has been called witty and experimental. The shape found here is echoed in the Cone Chair, as well the Heart Cone Chair. The chair is made of steel wire and is produced by Vitra.

This table is produced by Herman Miller Inc. It has a laminate top, a Baltic birch table, and a wire base. The idea behind the design was to create a table that was simple as well as practical. Japanese design and forms also had an influence in the design process.

Designed by Brazilian design team Campana Fratelli, these wire citrus baskets are named after the Portuguese word for "cloud." The shape of the baskets as well as the lightness of the wire give it its name. The baskets were designed with the intention of them being as close to hand-crafted artisan work as possible.
