This washstand from 1904 was designed as part of the furnishing in the Blue Room of House Hill. The home,House Hill, was a place that Mackintosh remodeled for one of his most important clients, Kate Cranston. The washstand is made of oak and has a very detailed back made from ceramic tile, colored and mirror glass, and lead.
