Uberlaptop is a sort of spoof on all the fanboy (and girls) who you read, see, hear giving you the latest hardware, software, colour of their laptop. So the Uberlaptop does everything the fanboys (& girls), plus.

Twisted Camo in red and lilac

I am Ville Lahtinen, a Finnish snowboarder and young entrepreneur, and I run a small company called Outowear, which sells hand-made snowboarding and winter accessories. See http://www.outowear.com/.

On April 11th, Ms Sofia Laine emailed me and asked if I could make 260 unique beanies for participants at the Young Active Citizenship EU meeting, which takes place on 3rd of July, 2006 in Hyvinkaa. See http://citizenships.fi/. I said yes.

Normally I make all beanies by myself but this time I had to ask some help from my mother, Raija Lahtinen. Since April, we have crocheted about 4 beanies per day.

This beanie, Twisted Camo in red and lilac, is number 127 of 260. It is made of Finnish Novita yarn, which is 75% wool, 25% polyamide. For washing, I recommend hand wash in cold water.

In case you have any questions or you would like to order yourself another beanie, please write me an email to info@outowear.com. Also, you can leave me a note or a comment on Thinglink by signing up for a free Thinglink account.
